Bucks begin without Redd, still missing Bogut
MILWAUKEE (AP) - Bucks center Andrew Bogut missed his seventh straight game with back spasms, and Milwaukee played Monday night for the first time since guard Michael Redd tore ligaments in his left knee Saturday.

Bogut, averaging 11.8 points and 10.4 rebounds, continues to struggle with his back. He has played in only three of the last 14 games because of the injury that first flared up on Dec. 17 against Philadelphia.

Coach Scott Skiles said Bogut may practice Tuesday and have some limited contact with the hope of returning sometime this week. Milwaukee has been extra cautious after Bogut acknowledged he originally tried to come back too soon.

Redd, averaging a team-high 21.2 points per game, won't have surgery until next month.

He tore his ACL and MCL when he landed on Luke Ridnour's foot in the third quarter of the Bucks' win over Sacramento on Saturday night and will miss the rest of the season.

"I've never had surgery before. This is freakish to me," Redd said at shootaround earlier Monday. "But I'll overcome this and I'll be back stronger than ever."

Milwaukee came into Monday's game against Minnesota with a 22-25 record, good for eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
