While Bucks officials insist they don't have any trades in the works, they also claim to be far from content with their roster.
Bucks first-year general manager John Hammond made several major moves over the summer, having acquired a starting small forward in Richard Jefferson and a starting point guard in Luke Ridnour. Hammond also drafted starting power forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, meaning three-fifths of the Bucks' starting lineup is new.
There is growing speculation Hammond could make another significant move: trading star shooting guard Michael Redd.
Redd, who was also the topic of trade rumors over the summer, is having a disappointing season. He is averaging 18.5 points per game -- well below last season's average of 22.7 -- and he's shooting just 39 percent from the field.
Redd, 29, is making $15.7 million this season and will collect $17 million next season. He then has a player option for $18.3 million the following season.
BUCKS 100, SPURS 98: Center Andrew Bogut made a slew of key plays in the final minutes to help the Bucks fend off the Spurs at San Antonio. With the Bucks clinging to a 95-93 lead, Bogut drew a charge from Tim Duncan with 1:50 remaining in the game. Then, Bogut got a rebound, made two free throws and altered a shot by Duncan before making a great bounce pass to Charlie Bell for a lay-up, giving the Bucks a 99-93 advantage. Bogut finished the game with 20 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots. Point guard Luke Ridnour contributed 20 points, six assists and five rebounds.
