Andrew Bogut's back injury is rather unusual.
Bogut has an incomplete stress fracture in his lower back, an injury that is expected to keep the talented young center sidelined for a minimum of eight weeks. "It's a very rare thing for a guy my age to have this," the 24-year-old Bogut said. "Usually, this happens with young people, people who are 16, 17 years old and their bodies are still growing."
Bogut, who has been instructed not to play any basketball for the next eight weeks, said he's been playing with excruciating pain for the last six weeks.
Bogut said he tried various pain-killers, and none of them squelched the pain.
"It's kind of like somebody stabbing a knife in your back when you don't even expect it," Bogut said.
