It was the Brandon Jennings Show on Saturday night at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. The Bucks' sensational rookie scored a franchise rookie-record 55 points, including 29 in the third quarter. Jennings broke the record of 51 points, set by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on Feb. 21, 1970. The NBA record is 58 points by Wilt Chamberlain in 1960. "It was probably the best rookie performance I've ever witnessed in 30-some years of coaching," Golden State's Don Nelson said. "We tried to handle him every way possible."
Jennings played 41 minutes, hitting on 21 of 34 field-goal attempts. He was 7-for-8 on 3-pointers. In the third quarter, Jennings made 12 straight field goals before missing before missing a 3-pointer with 5.9 seconds left in the quarter.
Jennings became only the third player to score more than 50 points in Bucks history. The last player to do it was Michael Redd, who had a franchise-record 57 against Utah on Nov. 11, 2006.
BUCKS 129, WARRIORS 125: Brandon Jennings' 55-point effort was the difference for Milwaukee, which received double-digit points from only three other players. Andrew Bogut made nine of 12 shots to contribute 19 points. Charlie Bell added 14 points, and Luke Ridnour came off the bench to score 13.
Golden State's Monte Ellis had 26 points and four assists.
