The Bucks' coaching staff has been working overtime trying to rectify the team's rebounding woes.
While Milwaukee outrebounded Washington 37-31 Saturday night, the Bucks were massacred on the boards in the previous three games. To wit: --They were outrebounded by the Hornets 52-41.
--They were outrebounded by the Mavericks 51-25.
--And they were outrebounded by the Nuggets 48-31.
Do the math and the Bucks were outrebounded 151-97 in those three outings.
The most rebounds any Milwaukee player grabbed in that three-game stretch was seven.
Suffice to say, the Bucks could use center Andrew Bogut, who is expected to miss the rest of the season with a stress fracture in his lower back.
"We got to get back to our aggressive defense and get after the glass," Bucks coach Scott Skiles said. "And the way we're constructed right now, without Bogues, it falls to everybody. Everybody has got to pitch in and get an extra rebound a game."
BUCKS 109, WIZARDS 93: Milwaukee shared the wealth Saturday night at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. The Bucks had six players score in double figures, with Charlie Villanueva leading the way with 25 points. Richard Jefferson finished with 22 points, while Luc Mbah a Moute totaled 13. The Bucks also got 12 points apiece from Ramon Sessions and Charlie Bell and 10 from Dan Gadzuric.
The Bucks, who led from wire to wire, shot a scorching 53 percent (41 of 78) from the field. They were 11 of 19 from 3-point range (58 percent).
