Milwaukee Bucks Getting Inside 2009-03-30
Bucks officials have publicly stated that Andrew Bogut could return to action yet this season.

Bogut, the Bucks' starting center and the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, hasn't played since Jan. 31 after suffering an incomplete stress fracture in his lower back.

Bogut is expected to undergo more tests within the next couple of days, and if given medical clearance, he possibly could play in the Bucks' final games.

Yet, it's highly doubtful Bogut will suit up again this season. The Bucks have lost five straight games and are on the brink of being eliminated from playoff contention.

What's more, the Bucks have too much invested in Bogut to take a chance on him re-injuring his back.

Last summer, the Bucks gave Bogut a guaranteed $60 million contract.

HEAT 102, BUCKS 85: The Bucks played lethargically in the first half and shot the ball poorly the entire game in losing in Miami on Saturday night. The Bucks, who trailed 58-43 at halftime, shot a dismal .369 from the field in the game. They made only two of 14 3-point shots.

Richard Jefferson scored a game-high 32 points for Milwaukee, and teammate Dan Gadzuric had season highs in points (18) and rebounds (12). The loss dropped the Bucks five games behind Detroit for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
