It's hardly a secret what the Bucks will need to do next season to become a playoff team: Stay healthy.
The Bucks' 2008-09 season was sabotaged by major injuries to arguably their two best players: shooting guard Michael Redd and center Andrew Bogut. Bogut was forced to miss 46 games this season because of an incomplete stress fracture to the lower back.
Redd was forced to miss 49 games this season because of tears to the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments.
Yet, despite their absences, the Bucks still managed to win 34 games -- an eight-game improvement over last season.
"We have to get healthy again; it's that simple," Bucks center Francisco Elson said. "We have a lot of talent on this team and can make the playoffs next season, but we can't afford to have our key players get hurt."
SEASON HIGHLIGHT: Young point guard Ramon Sessions demonstrated his potential with a triple-double against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Bradley Center on April 1. The 23-year-old Sessions scored 16 points, had 16 assists and grabbed 10 rebounds.
TURNING POINT: Center Andrew Bogut played his last game of the season on Jan. 31, helping the Bucks beat the playoff-bound Hawks 110-107. The Bucks, still in the playoff hunt at the time, proceeded to lose 20 of their next 30 games with Bogut sidelined.
