It'll be a clash of classic underachievers Tuesday night when the Bucks host the Knicks at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.
The Knicks, who have the second-worst record (20-52) in the Eastern Conference, already have been eliminated from the playoffs. The Bucks, who have the third-worst record (24-48) in the Eastern Conference, are on the brink of playoff elimination.
Both teams are stumbling toward the season's finish line. The Bucks have lost 10 of their last 11 games, and the Knicks have dropped six of their last seven and 10 of their last 12.
It'll be the third and final meeting between the teams. The Knicks barely won the previous two games: 91-88 on Nov. 30 at New York and 99-98 on Feb. 9 at Milwaukee.
Knicks guard Jamal Crawford averaged 27.5 and 4.5 assists in those two games. Power forward Zach Randolph averaged 18.5 points and 9 assists.
Randolph almost came to the Bucks at the trading deadline in February, but Bucks owner Herb Kohl publicly acknowledged he nixed the deal.
BULLS 114, BUCKS 111: The Bucks showed they aren't about to tank the rest of the season.
After being down by 21 points early in the fourth quarter Saturday, the Bucks rallied to make it a game. They cut the margin to 112-109 on a layup by Michael Redd with 32.4 seconds remaining.
But Bulls guard Larry Hughes made two free throws with 14.4 seconds left to keep the Bucks at bay.
The Bucks made their comeback with rookie point guard Ramon Sessions running the show. Sessions ended up with five assists and no turnovers.
Redd led the Bucks with 33 points. Charlie Villanueva added 26 points, 15 coming in the third quarter.
Hughes topped Bulls' scorers with 19 points. Joakim Noah finished with a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds.
It was the Bucks' eighth straight road loss.
