
--Bucks F Charlie Villanueva was chosen for the NBA Community Assist Award for August, in part for his role in helping raise 10,000 pairs of recycled footwear for children in impoverished regions of the Dominican Republic. Villanueva also hosted a basketball camp following the distribution of the shoes.
--Strength and conditioning coach Tim Wilson, who was part of the Bucks' offseason purge, has accepted a similar job at the University of Oregon. --Ex-Bucks head coach Larry Krystkowiak looked into some pro and college jobs over the summer, including an assistant coach's position with the Denver Nuggets, but didn't find the right fit. Krystkowiak still has one year remaining on his contract with the Bucks.
