--Ten members of the Bucks' 40th anniversary team were honored during Friday night's game between the Bucks and Magic at the Bradley Center. They were Oscar Robertson, Bobby Dandridge, Vin Baker, Glenn Robinson, Ricky Pierce, Junior Bridgeman, Marques Johnson, Jon McGlocklin, Brian Winters and Terry Cummings. Former Bucks broadcaster Eddie Doucette, who coined the phrase "Sky Hook" for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's famous shot, was also in attendance.
Junior Bridgeman denied a rumor that he would be part of a group that would try to buy the Bucks from owner Herb Kohl. The scuttlebutt is the Bucks still have interest in hiring former Pacers president Donnie Walsh, who reportedly has agreed to a three-year deal with the Knicks. Walsh has denied the report and said he hasn't made a determination where he'll work next.
NOTE TO QUOTE: "I drove down by Lake Michigan this morning and I was amazed. When I played for the Bucks, I didn't appreciate how beautiful and how spectacular that area of the town was." -- Former Bucks F Marques Johnson, who played seven seasons for the Bucks and now is a college basketball analyst for Fox Sports in Los Angeles.
