Milwaukee Bucks Roster Report 2009-09-18

Milwaukee Bucks Roster Report 2009-09-18PLAYER NEWS:

--G Michael Redd continues to recover nicely from ACL and MCL surgery on his left knee. Redd said he hasn't experienced any problems running or moving laterally. Redd hasn't participated in any basketball contact drills, but fully expects to be ready for the start of training camp on Sept. 29.

--F Kurt Thomas purchased a home in Milwaukee after he was assured he wasn't going to be traded anytime soon. The Bucks acquired Thomas in a multi-player deal with the Spurs over the summer.

--F Walter Sharpe recently underwent knee surgery and his status for the upcoming season is in doubt. There have also been rumblings that the Bucks may release Sharpe, who they acquired in an offseason trade from Denver for Malik Allen.

MEDICAL WATCH: None.

DRAFT PICKS:

Brandon Jennings, G, 6-1, Lottomatica Virtus Roma (Italy) (first round) -- Team officials are enamored with his upside and believe he has all the tools to eventually be a star player.

Jodie Meeks, G, 6-4, Kentucky (second round) -- Bucks general manager John Hammond said the team's scouting department had Meeks ranked considerably higher and never envisioned him falling to them in the second round, the 41st pick overall.
