Two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash returned to the Phoenix Suns' starting lineup on Sunday for his team's 117-109 loss to the New Jersey Nets in Phoenix.
Nash led the team with 26 points and nine assists, but the homecoming was overshadowed by his counterpart, Devin Harris, who burned the point guard for a career-high 47 points, including 21 in the fourth quarter. Nash suffered a thigh contusion during Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves when he collided with forward Kevin Love. He missed Phoenix's game against the Miami Heat on Friday, a game the Suns dropped 107-92.
Redd returns to Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks activated leading scorer Michael Redd, who had been sidelined nearly a month due to a sprained right ankle. The team made the move prior to Saturday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Redd injured his ankle Nov. 2 against the Knicks. The Bucks went 5-9 without him in the lineup.
Redd scored 20 points on 5-of-16 shooting while playing 35 minutes against the Cavs. He's averaging 21 points per game this season.
Late Saturday
Jason Terry scored 24 points, and the Dallas Mavericks pulled away in the third quarter to beat the Sacramento Kings on the road, 101-78. . . . Zach Randolph and Al Thornton each scored 27 points and combined for 21 rebounds, leading the host Los Angeles Clippers to a 97-96 victory over the Miami Heat.
