Byline: Mike Jones, THE WASHINGTON TIMES TORONTO -- With the holiday season here, the Washington Wizards are doing their part to help area families in need. Injured guard Mike Miller will tip off the team's annual Wizards Care 12 Days of Holiday Cheer on Wednesday night when he welcomes a family to Verizon Center for the Wizards' game vs. Milwaukee. The family will be brought to the arena via limousine, will be treated to a pregame meal and then will watch the game from VIP box seats after receiving gifts from Miller and the team.
On Thursday, members of the Wizards and visiting Toronto Raptors, NBA players union executive director Billy Hunter, D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty, Washington Convention and Sports Authority CEO Greg O'Dell andretired NBA players Wes Unseld, John Thompson and Phil Chenier will host Miracle in the Nation's Capital. They will hand out food to 10,000 families in honor of the late Abe Pollin. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the D.C. Armory.

Early rookie of the year candidate Jennings leads the Bucks - who are 9-7 despite injuries to Redd and Andrew Bogut - into the District, averaging 21.8 points, 5.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds.
